In the early 90’s in my early teens, I came across a band called Sepultura. Their latest album at the time, Chaos A.D., was fresh off the press and I fell in love with it.
I liked most of the tracks on this album, and I remember I had it on loop (cassette days – which meant that I had to open the deck, turn the cassette around, close the deck, and press play every time 😘 – I had a friend who had an auto reversing deck; man that was advanced! 🤤 ) for days on end while playing The Elder Scrolls: Arena on what must have been a 486. If not at home, the cassette was constantly running in my walkman while on the way to school and back.
I remember there were three other cassettes on constant play at this time: Chaos A.D. by Sepultura, Chronicles II by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Greatest Hits by Nazareth, and The Greatest Hits by The Beach Boys.
I thank Mauricio Weimar this morning for taking me down this memory lane. His video about the intro to Territory was very nice and I really liked it. I also suggest you follow his channel because it is well made and with great musical insights. I have to agree with him that this intro is a great one.
Here is the link to the song in its entirety. Enjoy.
